Thanx for response Markus
I've been out of state in the Lookout Mountain area, tending to my dad...God spared him some years in a wonderful way. Pray he finds the purpose of the lengthened time soon...
In any event, a week and half hiatus, and VOILA! Many new posts! Love it! Lets keep the momentum flowing! Discourse here, in a somewhat public fashion, is always a good thing!
Spammers are not as big of a problem; this site could use a tiered forum-access method, where one would need to have a verified email address, possibly a month of membership before being permitted, and then even these new members only allowed to post after, say 24 hour delay for content/edit etc. The members clearly NOT spammers could be allowed real-time responses. Infractions by these "trusted" ones could invoke immediate membership privileges restricted for a month, second infraction, banned.

When a member or a non member(freebie) sends a smile or a note, is it too much to ask, for a reply of SOME SORT? It just seems rude to ignore it completly *sigh*..... When my ruby membership is expired, I feel like leaving as well, this online stuff is too easily not taken seriously~~~~

What is up lately with so many non paying members posting their email address on the front page of their profile? What a good way to get loads of SPAM and SCAMMERS!! On this site it is CLEAR.... contact info is shared through certain PAID memberships. I know it is unlikely that those that try to squeeze their contact info on their profile will never read or care about the forum board, but perhaps those that read this will click onto their profile, scrool to the bottom, click on---> REPORT THIS PROFILE, put a note "contact info on profile" and send it off to the great folks that run this site! I am sometimes torn between leaving it there or reporting it as if it is left there perhaps they will get the well deserved SPAM!!! =)

SeekingHeart, I did not know that the other sites that limit their forums to paid members once did not do that. So I stand corrected.
We both agree that the forums would be more active if the posts were in real time. I also agree that it is annoying that posts have to be approved a day or two later. The problem is how to deal with the spammers? If you have any ideas on how to solve that problem, then we will be closer to a solution.

Marcus, excluding people
on basis of their membership status,
age, girth, marriageability, hair color, weight,
breeding potential, culture even?
These are NOT solutions for the greater good....
(the competing sites you mention at one time allowed free posting...subsequent to reducing use, they have lost membership)
The larger the pool...the more fish; THIS is GOOD! Some might rather be the big fish in the pond, rather than mere minnow in an ocean!
A viable forum, searchable, archived, in real time, divided into sections and visible on one central page (ASC uses an archaic code, but their format in this regard is worthy of emulating) will do much to encourage people to use the forums. This will undoubtedly increase open communication between members, and ultimately bring more members (including paid ones). Forum communication allows many more to see the various participating members personalities in a more honest light than private missives. Some stay OFF the forums for these reasons...
Inclusive methods are requisite for growth, and for finding she who God created, refined, saved for you.
Human exclusiveness will undoubtedly delay the divine intent.
