My dear friend,
Desiring a partner is a very natural and godly desire so please know there is nothing wrong with those feelings.
Please understand that there are many views within the Christian community as to how women should handle their desires regarding wanting a husband.
There is some who beleive we shouldn't date and be friends first, others think that women should submit there desires to God and then be completely at peace inside so that we won't "need" a man. Some women think it might be "below" them now they are saved and can serve God in holiness and don't need a man. Others believe they should give themselves to ministry and let God provide. Others say you should wait and God will bring one right b4 you.........
Hannah prayed for a child when her husband thought that maybe she should be content with just him
Ruth & Naomi arranged for her (Ruth) to propose to her kinsman redeemer (remember she put his covers over her legs)
If Hannah was alive today she might be told to be happy that there was other children in the family and that she had a husband. Ruth might have been told she shouldn't go seeking for a husband.... the point I am getting at is this ...faith believes and hopes all things - all those who trusted God stepped out.
We can't expect God to bring a man to our front door and it is good we step out and be seen and increase our opportunities of meeting someone. We can please God by dating within God's boundaries and learn and grow from it too.
To wait doesn't mean being passive and doing nothing. I think its more harmful to try and ignore our desires and just sit on them hoping God will bring Mr Right to our front door. We don't expect God to do that with our finances or getting an education but when it comes to men we are taught to remain totally passive.
Whilst waiting to meet Mr Right we can be developing ourselves and preparing - we can read books on relationships, we can allow God to show us what needs changing in us b4 we meet him. How about our dating paterns or who we are attracted to? how about trying out new hobbies or going to places we haven't been before he could be there you know? What things about would you like to see change? How can you address those needs? I have read some great books like Boundaries in Dating, Mars & Venus on a date - which is such an insight into how men and women interpret each other during the courting stage & beyond.
The loneliness doesn't always go but God does comfort and strengthen and its great to know that we can prepare, by learning, changing and growing and just to get out there, meet new people and have fun and of course using datings sites like these!
Don't give up!

I feel very much for you ,as I have had some of the same things happen to me. Then I asked myself can't they see that I am a Godly woman or what is,"WRONG WITH THESE MEN?" I truly believe that satan tries his very best to see if we won't give in because of our lonelyness.Don't give up and let God deal with this,he knows what he wants for us , even though we would like an answer right now.

nothing is wrong with you, I am single never been married, yet I long to have someone in my live to share mylife for chris with. to have someone hold me and be able to hold them also. I know the desires are very real and that dosent mean your saying you want your way. I dont have your answer but our Daddy does.
Father I lift my sister to you I ask that you pour our peace over her give her your wisdome and guidance I ask that you bless her father that you bring the man to her that you have for her. I speak your direction to her also. I ask father that you continue to draw her closer to you and that you bless her comeing and going that you bless her emotionally and physically. I ask that you bless every area of her life and I ask all this in the mighy prescious name of Jesus amen amen

Beautiful,
God's promise is that He will give us the desires of our hearts. I am young and have never been married, so I have never been im your shoes. But I know that God's Word is true. He will either give you the desire of your heart or if it's not His will, he will change your heart's desire. Either way, you will get something so beautiful.

Dear lady,
I just said a prayer for you. I understand how you feel and I want to tell you there is NOTHING wrong with you. I am separated and have dated a few men. They were the same type of men you described. I don't believe we should give in on what is an important value to us. I decided to let God choose the right one for me... in the meantime, I bought a dog and cuddle her as much as I want (grin). Hang in there, I am positive God chose one for you and when the time is right for both of you, it will happen.
I have a dear friend who used to say the same things I read in your posting. She has been divorced and living alone for 11 years. Five months ago, she found her soul mate. She tought it would never happen. She's engaged now and is happy like she's never been before. I know it doesn't change how you feel, but it's just to say even if the wait is long, it's worth it.
