Name something that can't become an addiction? If you like it enough, and are weak of mind you can become addicted to it. Lets not try to make everything we as an individual do not believe in to be this great evil.

I believe this is a common issue on the minds of many. Let's be honest with ourselves we all know the answer in terms of our walk with Christ and that is, gambling in anyway (moderate or otherwise) is not a good thing. Sure you can be lucky and probably win a few games but gambling becomes an addiction similar to drugs and alcohol which should be avoided at all costs.
Note I said at all COST for gambling is a very expensive habit that has caused many to lose their very homes, loved ones and who knows what else? Sure, you may say "but I won't let it get so out of hand" or "I'll only be doing it once in a while", umm humm, a problem always starts small and ends up like a full blown hurricane.
In terms of the bible (Matthew 27:35) And they crucified Him, and parted His garment, casting lots. Disrespectful hah?
(1 Timothy 6:10-11) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
This one hit home for me (Ecclesiastes 7:12) For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.
Use your wisdom and money wisely and do that which is right in the sight of God.
