JOY IN HEAVEN
We seek for Earthly treasures
To give us many pleasures
But sadly they only bring us sorrow
For they are nothing tomorrow
When we are ready to leave this place
And leave this earthly race
When we look to heaven�s open gate
To catch a glimpse of the Saviour�s face
We will know the joy we have been seeking
For Joy is in Heaven Jesus has been teaching

Troubles seem to be around us all the time
So many mountains we must climb
Burdens seem heavier than we can bear
So many trials we don't think are fair
Beyond the shadows of this earth
We want to feel we have some worth
But Heaven�s gates are open wide
For us to enter as Christ�s bride
Sun on earth is almost gone
Up in Heaven a glorious dawn

So many times our feet will slip
And we don�t feel really equip
To handle all that life will throw us
We grumble and complain and fuss
But nothing we do will free us here
From all that has caused us to fear
Beyond the battles here on earth
We will have a lot of worth
The burdens we must leave behind
So peace at last we can find

Beyond the pain and struggle
We feel on earth we must juggle
We must look upward beyond the sunset
To the One who paid our debt
For only with Him will we find peace
And get the joy that never will cease
To see all those who went before
And the scars that Jesus bore
When we at last hear the horn
We will awake in Heaven by morn
